LCMarie asked:
I end up hating everything about my self during PMS. I also get very anxious and worried about every single problem that arrises, any decisions that I have to make or confrontations that I have to deal with during this time. It is really starting to effect my life negatively. I perfer a natural route but if getting on a pill is better, which ones are recommended?

Exercise, exercise and exercise. Kaiser Permanente Medical Group has info on their web site for foods that help too. Exercise works great though. Two hours per day, split up between the morning and afternoon or evening worked really well for me.
dont eat or drink anything with caffine
drink a lot of milk well at least thats what the doctor has told me
…yes…there are several types of natural treatment for PMS…you need to have a menstrual diary to find those specdific things that help you the most as each of us is different & experince the hormonal changes differently…
…PMS is mostly known to be the result of chemical changes caused by increased estrogen being produced to bring on your period…
…some natural remidies that have been tested & do work in many women…they include:
…CALCIUM…at least 1200 mg/day just before PMS symptoms start…calcium is effect for mood swings, depression & fatigue…it is also a replacement for lost calcium causing osteoporosis…
…MAGNESIUM…prior to PMS this can reduce fluid retention (bloating), breats tenderness, fatigue & other symptoms…
…Vitamin B6…100mg/day…is effective in working with magnesium…helping your body absorb the mineral…together they are known to decrease cramping, ****** tenderness, physical & mental stress, fatigue & bloating…
…Vitamin E…also is a proven help in reducing cramps, ****** tenderness, weight gain, anxieity, sweet craving, stress, depression & fatigue…
…as indicated by others…most doctors also recommend some kind of exercise to reduce tension & mood swings…yoga or possibly massage therapy seem to be easy on the body & effective…
…the only other thing other than dietary changes is non-prescription anti-inflamation medications for headaches, muscle or joint pain & cramps…
…as i indicated above…keep a diary of each month of what you’ve tried…how it worked & what you are doing different this month…see what works best combined…also note just how much exercise you did each day just before & during PMS…when you find out what works the best keep up that routine…PMS can be beat…just believe it…
