Can I control which type of emotional PMS I have?

This month (maybe for the 1st time), I feel like I could punch a stranger in the mouth if they say something I remotely dislike. I’d rather be a little sad or easily cry than feel angry constantly for 2-3 days. Has anyone (women, obviously) noticed any connection between diet, exercise, etc that seem to be a factor on what type of PMS is experienced?
