I have recently been forbidden by my doctor to take birth control pills – any suggestions for PMS relief?

I was diagnosed with blood clots last May and have been told that I can no longer take birth control pills or a Nuva ring – essentially anything with estrogen is forbidden. Now, I have horrible PMS and I really need something to help with the mood swings. Any suggestions?
